Responsible for providing leadership, management, and vision necessary to ensure that the company has proper financial and operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. This should be accomplished visa vie a constructive and energetic style, guided by the objects of the company. Key responsibilities:
Manage and expand the business and brands of company including all commercial activity in APAC. Current brands distributed in the region. Additionally, introduce, launch and manage new and inorganic brands plus any new future brands.
As a key member of the executive team the GM APAC will assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company and drive fact-based decision making and leadership across the organization. You will help develop and monitor key performance metrics/dashboards in partnership with all departments. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing a five-year strategic plan that synchs financial planning with the company's strategies including innovation, new distribution, and other actions that enhance the company's strategic goals.
Additional responsibilities shall include: 1. Work with the MD and the Executive Team on the strategic vision of the company and provide insight and recommendations to both short-term growth plans of the region and participate in pivotal decisions as they relate to strategic initiatives and operational models. 2. Review and analyze monthly financial results and provide recommendations. 3. Hire, develop and manage managers and staff as approved by the MD. 4. Hire, develop and manage directors, managers and staff, as approved by the MD and guide, direct and coordinate methods to attain team goals within the Region. 5. Provide leadership to mentor and develop strong business leaders capable of critical thinking and fact-based decision making. Assess, align, and if necessary, evolve current talent to ensure achievement of objectives.
Qualified candidates must have Bachelor's Degree in Business or Marketing or related field. Must have a successful track record as a General Manager or Business Development Manager in Asia. Must have 10+ years experience in Beauty environment, preferably in Color Cosmetics. Must have demonstrated experience with managing financials with budget responsibility. Must have proven experience successfully managing a team of employees and managers. Must have previous Sales and/or Business Development and/or Trade-Mktg/Marketing experience. Must be a team builder with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse management. Must have strong and effective leadership skills. Must have an excellent problem solving skills, planning and scheduling capabilities. Must have strong organizational skills, able to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task. Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively and directly with Customers. Must have excellent verbal and written Mandarin Chinese and English communication skills. Highly favorite someone who can read, write and speak Japanese and/or Korean fluently. This position has travel of up to 50% of the time.
