High end sportswear, Knitwear and Athleisure manufacturing company in Hong Kong. Exporting to overseas markets and manufacturing for a US Listed and internationally known athletic apparel retailer company.
The Career:
Oversee QA/QC team, coordinate with other departments and all suppliers to ensure all products adheres to the quality standard set by the Clients and the Company.
Handles all technical and quality related functions from product development, sampling, pre-production, production and finishing of all garments being produced. Reviews quality standard required by each customer and prepares technical portfolio as guideline for all QC inspectors and staff. Attends product development meeting for technical inputs. Attends pre-production workmanship meetings before the start of bulk production.
Monitors and reviews all quality daily reports and makes assessment and discuss and recommends corrective actions to be undertaken. Coordinates with Merchandising and PPC teams and other related Departments regarding technical and quality issues. Coordinates production schedule with Production and Operations Teams to ensure proper timing of quality inspections and quality audit for each and every shipment.
Evaluates fabric and accessories inspection reports and make necessary recommendations. Handles communication with customer from product development, quality, samples, production update and other issues.
Conducts daily inspection of the lines and all departments QCs to make sure planned QC work schedule are strictly carried out to achieve the target efficiency and effectiveness of each and every QC inspector.
Makes plans and manpower allocation and balancing to service the critical target areas where QC inspectors should be assigned in accordance with the company’s budget and efficiency goals. Prepares and conduct Training modules for all QA/QC inspectors to develop and enhance their knowledge on the current Quality Procedures and Standards.
Requirements:
Qualified candidate must have Diploma or Undergraduate degree in textiles/clothing/manufacturing or related discipline. With at least 5 or more years related working Experience as Quality Manager in Garment Industry.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). With knowledge and strong understanding of the garment & accessories consumption. With excellent Management skills, ability to direct and manage effectively with good judgment
Proficient in English communication on both oral and written with. Positive attitude, strong leadership and good interpersonal skills. Very Keen on details. Ability to multi task, can work under pressure and willing to work on extended hours
